Proctor Valley Road
This road runs between Chula Vista and Bonita in the southern part of San Diego County. New housing developments line the road on the trip east until suddenly the pavement ends, as does the reach of streetlights and all other signs of city life. This dark dirt road has been the scene of many sightings of the ghost light, phantom hitchhiker, and Grey Lady varieties. The area is also the subject of the Proctor Valley Monster legend, an old yarn about ranchers who found their cattle dragged far from their pastures, drained of blood, and mutilated. While they can’t explain the cows, the area is subject to frequent dust-devils powerful enough to blow garbage and debris into the air and swirl it around mysteriously. Take a remote area, a suggestible witness, heavy darkness, and the flash of a flying milk carton, and you’ve got all the makings of a floating Grey Lady.

About the Site
After running a public group for a few years, I decided to call it quits and focus on research and writing. Supernatural San Diego is my attempt to correct some of the worst untruths about San Diego ghosts and give you guys a chance to see photos of the sites before planning an investigation.
